1. Open Remote Desktop Connection

First of all, you need to open Remote Desktop Connection and log in;

2. FTP Desktop


After connected, you will see this desktop.



First step is to open Validator software. This software is available at the desktop, and if not you can search it "Validator".




3. Validator Software


After you open the Validator, you will see this image.



Next step is to open a DAT file.


Click File > Open DAT file... > pick a ".dat" DAT file

You will see this image below if you open the ".dat" DAT file.

A. Active Region Detail

B. Floor Plan & Region Validation

- Shows the lines for the sensor to detects Enters and Exits.
- Blue line means Enters.
- Green line means Exits.
- Shows a video view of the sensor.
- Blue region means that where we going to click for validation Enters and Exits.
- Left Click for Enters, Right Click for Exits
- Shows the data that we validate either Enters (Left Click) or Exits (Right Click)




C.  View Control



View Control is where you can control the video, either want to Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward & Rewind. 



5. Save the Validation File


After done the validation, you need to Save & Create a VAL & CSV file for the report.



A. VAL File

First click File > Save Validation File 

This will create a VAL file ".val" for you to view the validation you had done in future.


B. CSV File

Secondly, click Reports > Enter/Exit Report

This will create a CSV file ".csv".

This file is the report file of the results from the validation process in Excel.



6. CSV File


After you have the CSV File, you need to upload it in Google Drive so that it can be view. To edit the report and count the total, errors for validation need to open with Google Sheets.




After opening the CSV File with Google Sheets, you need to sum up the total Enters & Exits, and also calculate the errors.



Formula;


Total = Sum up of the Enters & Exits.

Error = [(System Enters/Exits - Val Enters/Exits) / System Enters/Exits] x 100


** If the error is in negative values, make sure the total of difference between System and Val is in positive values. The big value must minus the small value. We just want the difference value between System and Val. Then divide it by System and times by 100 to show the value in percentage.
