This article will explain how to setup the TD Intelligence Smart Counting Sensor

at the end of the article, you will know how to:

  • Access Sensor's Config Page
  • Setup and Configure Sensor's Network
  • Add Sensor hardware into Tapway's Remote Control Server (RCS)
  • Port Forwarding Sensor's data to Tapway's Dashboard

Before installing the sensor, it is best to configure the sensor first. to access the sensor's config page, you'll need to setup as shown in the illustration above.

* Sensor must be connected to a PoE Injector in order for the Sensor to power on.

* by default, Sensor's IP is 192.168.1.8

before accessing the config page, you'll need to configure your laptop/pc network first.

setup your IPv4 with the following configuration (for Ethernet WLAN connection)

*make sure that the IP address that you assign to your pc/laptop does not clash with other hardware's IP or else you won't be able to access the sensor.

After setting up your laptop/pc network with the following configuration, then you can open your browser (IE, Chrome, Mozilla) and put in the default IP in the address bar (192.168.1.8).

if you succeed to access the config page, it should look like this.

From here you can refer to the attached manual guide on what kind of config/setup that you would like to perform.

*in case of the sensor's data need to be send to TrafficPro Software instead, you'll require extra step

1. setup the primary report server in the sensor's service config as below:

Primary Report Server addr - *server's IP where the TrafficPro was installed*

Primary Report Server port - 2010

Primary Report Server Directory - *null*

2. Make sure that the window's firewall (tapway to configure) and the network switch (request to client) enable port 2010 in order for the server and the sensor are able to communicate to each other.

3. to open TCP Port 2010 in window's firewall, visit this guideline

4. for window's firewall, make sure you do for both inbound and outbound rules.
