How to setup Demographic (adult/child and male/female) feature for TD2000G2

To setup TD2000G2, make sure you are running the firmware 1.182 and above. 

if you don't, be sure to visit this article to know how to upgrade the TDI sensor firmware.


1. while accessing the sensor webpage. go to the url of the sensor on your browser, and change the postfix of the url to /model

2. when access this page, do enable the 'feature recognition algorithm to do male/female detection'.


3. Once done, head to the counting config and enable the 2nd and 3rd zone by renaming it 'adult' and 'child' respectively.


4. in each zone, make sure you active the counting by height feature:

for reference:

adult: between 120 - 200 cm

child: between 60 - 119 cm


once done for both zone, click save. 




5. Important thing to ensure that the camera height is placed at a ceiling height of 3.5m in order to get the a more accurate and precise gender classification. also, the camera height is calibrated properly, to ensure the estimate height detected for each person presence on the camera view, can be use as a metric to classify whether its an adult or child. 




6. Next, in the service config. either to set in in the primary report address server or secondary report address server. Do set the following information in the following field:

URL - 70bt73vbu3.execute-api.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com
Port - 443

Directory - 'null'

Protocol - HTTPS

Format - JSON



7. Finally, in the Tapway cloud dashboard (app.gotapway.com). ,when u register the camera sensor to a location, be sure for the camera type, you select 'TDI'.
